Bangkok RHVAC 2003 Draws Worldwide Interest

The Bangkok Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning 2003 (Bangkok RHVAC 2003) in Thailand is getting huge interest from prospective exhibitors and industrial visitors, with more than 350 manufacturers from around the world having confirmed their presence at this world-class exhibition event in Thailand.

The trade fair, Bangkok RHVAC 2003, the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia will feature more than 500 exhibitor booths with an exhibition area of 9,300 square metres at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok Thailand on September 17-21, 2003.

The first three days of the trade event are reserved exclusively for trade visitors and professionals from the cooling and refrigeration industry, of whom some 4,000 are expected to come from ASEAN member countries, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, the European Union, the Middle East, the United State of America, China, South Korea, etc.
The remaining two days will be open to the general public.

The previous Bangkok RHVAC exhibition saw 131 Thai and international companies with 360 exhibition booths, and attracted some 23,425 visitors, resulting in 662.49 million baht worth of sales. Organized on a much larger scale, the Bangkok RHVAC 2003 will certainly exceed all expectations.

Khun Banphot Hongthong, Director-General of the Department of Export Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, has expressed great satisfaction over the amount of interest being shown by prospective participants to the fair.
"Bangkok RHVAC 2003 is going to be a significant trade fair in Thailand, not only in size but also in the sense that we will be showcasing our many technological advances of the Thai industry. What comes as welcoming news, indeed, is that from the moment we publicised Bangkok RHVAC 2003.
Applications from exhibitors have been coming in, not only from the local industry in Thailand, but also from many international manufacturers across the world".

Thailand's refrigeration and air-conditioning sector have seen a healthy growth of 20 percent in the latest years. At the same time, Thailand has become the world's third largest exporter of air-conditioners and cooling units, after the United States and Japan.

Expressing interest from the private sector, Mr. Arnon Simakulthorn, Chairman of the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Club and chairman of the executive board of Thai Industrial Compressor Company Limited, said: "The Bangkok RHVAC exhibition is an important event in Thailand which businessmen and investors worldwide take note of, as this trade fair is the most complete and comprehensive showcase and exhibition for all innovations and products from the refrigeration, cooling and air-conditioning industry".

The Bangkok RHVAC exhibition is organised every two years by the Department of Export Promotion, with full support and cooperation from the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry Club of the Federation of Thai Industries. It is endorsed by the Thai Industrial Stan Institute and the Department of Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry; the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, as well as the Electrical, Electronic and Allied Industry Club, Air-Conditioning Engineering Association of Thailand and the Thai Refrigeration Association.
