Come and watch the spectacular sound and light show of 'Vimainatthakarn' - the show portraits the glorious era of the Khmer empire in Thailand. Interpretation service is available into three languages: English, French and Japanese. Other spectacles during the Phimai festival in Thailand are cultural shows by Thai classical dance group, local Thai classical dances, and the exhibition of history, culture and tourist sites of ancient Thailand and Siam. Also during the Phimai festival there are Buddha image processions and Thailand's King's Cup final round long-tailed boat race and a bike tour.
The annual Phimai festival has been held for more than a century in Thailand, the traditional long-boat races draws thousands of local visitors and tourists from all over the world. The Phimai festival is further enhanced by a light and sound presentation at Prasat Hin Phimai together with many local Thai art and cultural performances, various fun-filled competitions, and sales of local products and art exhibitions.
The festival is normally performed for three days. Many attractions are done on a daily base, but the King's Cup long-tailed boat race is only a one day event. Please check the schedule at TAT, for last minute updates, before going to the Phimai Festival.
