Tennis Star Anna Kournikova makes appearence in Pattaya during the Volvo Women's Open
International tennis superstar Anna Kournikova has accepted Thailand's invitation to make a star appearance and compete in the Volvo Women's Open at the Dusit Resort in Pattaya in Thailand on November 9, 2003.
Anna is scheduled to meet Tamarine Tanasugarn, Thailand's leading female athlete and international tennis star, in a friendly tournament. Affectionately known to Thai fans as "Tammy", Tamarine has contributed significantly to the enhanced image of sports in Thailand on the world stage.
Anna's trip to Pattaya Thailand is being sponsored by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) with Pentangle Promotions, a Thai promoter who manages a number of Thai sports personalities, overseeing arrangements for the event in Pattaya which runs from November 1 - 9, 2003. The Volvo Women's Open 2003 tournament on November 9 will be broadcast live to audiences nationwide by Traffic Corner. There will also be an auction of Anna's wardrobe and autograph for charity.
