Thailand has re-opened 12 of its mayor national marine parks in the southern Andaman sea region for tourists, just only over 1 month after the Tsunami hit Thailand on 26 December 2005.
The re-opened National Marine parks in Thailand are all situated in the six tsunami-ravaged provinces of Krabi, Ranong, Phuket, Phang Nga, Satun and Trang.
The re-opened National Marine Parks include Chao Mai National Park, Tarutao National Park, Auao Phang-Nga National Park, Khao Lak-Lumru National Park, Khao Lam Pee-Had Tai Muang National Park, Phetra Island National Park, Taleban National Park, Samilan Island National Park, Tharn Bokkharanee National Park, Lanta National Park and Nopparat Thara-Phi Phi Island National Park in Thailand.
In certain national parks, tourists are not allowed yet to stay overnight, but can make day-trips for excursions and diving trips, national park officials said.
