Massage Parlour King elected member of Parliament

Massage Parlour King Chuwit smashes his past

Chuvit Kamolvisit, Thailand's former "Massage Parlour King", who has been elected as member of Parliament this month, made his legislative debut with yet another publicity stunt by smashing a Jacuzzi Bath Tub to pieces with a sledgehammer and then lying down in a casket outside the Thai parliament house, as a ritual cleanse from his past involvement in the Thai sex industry.

Chuwit, who will represent the Chart Thai party as a new member of the Parliament of Thailand said: I am crashing the symbols of my old Massage Parlour Business to show the people of Thailand that I am no longer involved in the Bangkok sex industry and I lay down in this box to show the world that the old Chuwit is no more and a new Chuwit Kamolvisit has been born.

At the same time he asked the many reporters present and the other members of the Thai Parliament to stop calling him "Massage Tub Tycoon", a nickname he got from owning a chain of 6 huge massage parlors in the red light districts of Bangkok.

After the Jacuzzi Bath Tub stunt and before signing the official register as the newest member of the Thai Parliament, Chuvit Kamolvisit washed his hands ritually in the bowl of a Thai Buddhist monk's and vowed that he was no longer associated with the Thai sex business which made him the very rich man he is today. I apologies to the people of Thailand for the business I did in before and for the eventual damage this may have caused to some Thai people, Chuwit said.

Chuvit Kamolvisit made a huge fortune in the sex industry with his chain of Massage Parlors in Bangkok, then reinvented himself as the Champion Warrior against corruption in Thailand. After some publicity stunts to expose ongoing corruption in the country, a bizarre kidnapping of Chuwit and a short jail term he blames on corrupted Thai policemen, Chuwit entered the arena of Thai Politics in August 2005.

Chuvit Kamolvisit started his newborn political career as a candidate for the function of Governor og Bangkok and surprisingly reached the third place in Bangkok's Governor election last August. Not being Governor of Bangkok, Chuwit tried to form his own Thai political party in preparation of Thailand's National Elections in February 2005, but failed to form a new political party.

Then Chuwit agreed to join the Chart Thai political party and run for parliament under their flag. The Chart Thai party hoped that the fondness of Chuwit Kamolvisit for unusual publicity stunts would help the Chart Thai party to score extra votes in the Thailand's National election of 6 February 2005.

Chuvit's campaign posters all over Bangkok shows the former "Massage Parlor King" in mid-swing with a sledgehammer, symbolizing his drive to smash corruption in Thailand and his goal for justice in the country.

Chuvit, who was elected on 6 February 2005 for the Chart Thai party as a member of the Parliament of Thailand, said that he had sold all his massage parlors and was now active in the Thai hotel and property business.

While entering the Thai Parliament house for the first time, after his public cleansing stunt, Chuvit told reporters that his goal as member of Parliament would be to battle corruption in the country on all levels.
